Mary Zanarini, EdD, and her colleagues at McLean Hospital developed this paper-and-pencil test based on BPD diagnostic criteria listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM)

MILLON CLINICAL MULTIAXIAL INVENTORY - The Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory (MCMI) was developed by Dr. Theodore Millon, it is a highly regarded psychological assessment tool used by healthcare professionals to evaluate mental health conditions, including personality disorders and clinical syndromes. Since its inception in the 1970s, the MCMI has undergone several updates to incorporate advancements in psychology and psychiatry.

MINNESOTA MULTIPHASIC PERSONALITY INVENTORY - The MMPI was developed in the 1930s to help mental health professionals evaluate people with psychiatric disorders. It is widely used today in both clinical and non-clinical settings. The latest version of the instrument, MMPI-3, was released in 2020. The test takes 25 to 50 minutes.

MULTI-AGENCY PUBLIC PROTECTION ARRANGEMENTS - Are the set of arrangements through which the Police, Probation and Prison Services work together with other agencies to manage the risks posed by those convicted of violent, sexual and terrorism offences who are living in the community, in order to protect the public. MAPPA are not a statutory body in themselves but are a mechanism through which agencies can better discharge their statutory responsibilities and protect the public in a co-ordinated manner. Agencies at all times retain their full statutory responsibilities and obligations.
